Appointments to Registration Boards - October 2021 to July 2022

The Minister of Health made a number of appointments and re-appointments to Council and Registration Boards between October 2021 and July 2022.

Health and Social Care Professionals Council

Paula O’Shea was appointed as the representative of Clinical Biochemists, Caroline Byrne was appointed as the representative of Orthoptists and Róna McLaughlin was appointed as a representative of the Physiotherapists Registration Board.

Claire Hogan was reappointed to Council as a representative of the Radiographers Registration Board.

Counsellors and Psychotherapists Registration Board

Marcella Finnerty was re-appointed as a representative practising in the profession, Colin O’Driscoll was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the management of the profession and Jennifer Griffin was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the education and training of persons in the profession.

Ann Delany was re-appointed as a representativeof the management of the public health/social care sector. Carole Glynn was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the education and training of persons in the profession. Oliver A Kelly was re-appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Physiotherapists Registration Board

Eamonn Grennan was re-appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Podiatrists Registration Board

Julia Shaw was reappointed as a representative engaged in the management of services provided by the profession. Caroline McIntosh was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the education and training of persons in the profession. Martina Ryan was re-appointed as a representativeof the management of the public health/social care sector . Noel Beecher and Éamonn Kelly were re-appointed as representatives of the interest of the general public.

Radiographers Registration Board

Claire Hogan was re-appointed as a representative practising in the profession. Michelle Leech was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the management of the services provided by the profession. Eddie Conran was appointed as a representative engaged in the management of the services provided by the profession.

Social Workers Registration Board

Miriam O’Callaghan was re-appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.
