Notice of Candidates validly nominated

Notice of election of members for appointment to the Occupational Therapists Registration Board and request for nomination of candidates for three electoral categories was published in the Irish Times newspaper and on the website of www.coru.ie on Tuesday 20 October 2020.

The closing date for receipt of nominations was 12 noon on Tuesday 17 November 2020.

No nomination papers were received for electoral category 1 or electoral category 2.

Category 1: Registrant engaged in the practice of the profession

In accordance with the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (as amended) and the bye-law governing the election procedures (S.I. No. 480 of 2016), one member is to be appointed by the Minister under Section 28(6) of the 2005 Act to compensate for the deficiency in the number of elected registrants.

Category 2: Registrant engaged in the management of services provided by the profession

In accordance with the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (as amended) and the bye-law governing the election procedures (S.I. No. 480 of 2016), one member is to be appointed by the Minister under Section 28(6) of the 2005 Act to compensate for the deficiency in the number of elected registrants.

Candidates for Category 3: Registrant engaged in the education and training of persons in the practice of the profession

The closing date for returning ballot papers is 5pm on Friday 08 January 2021.
