Online Voting Guidance for the Dietitians Registration Board

As provided for in the Dietitians Registration Board Bye-Law 2024, registered Dietitians are invited to vote for candidates within Category 3: One vacancy for a registrant engaged in the education and training of persons in the practice of the profession.

For the first time, the election will be held on an online, hosted by Civica Elections Services (CES). Voting will open from 16 May 2024 to noon on 11 June 2024.

A booklet guide has been created to assist registered Dietitians in navigating the online voting process for these elections. The guide contains detailed information on the online voting platform. Additionally, a video tutorial is also available below to help voters understand the steps of the online voting process.

Please read the following points to help guide you through the online election process:

1. Eligibility to vote: Those eligible to vote are listed on the Dietitians Registration Board Register as of Friday 01 March 2024.
2. Online voting platform: The election will be conducted through an online platform hosted by Civica Elections Services (CES). CES will distribute an email to those eligible to vote (please check your email spam folder), including a link to the voting page and 2 secure PIN numbers unique to you.

You won't be required to create an account through this process. You can vote securely on any device (PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone).

Information on Candidates: Information on the candidates (as provided by the candidate) is available within the online voting platform. By clicking on their statement, you can read the candidates' biographies in more detail.

After selecting your preferred candidate, you will asked to confirm your vote. There, you will have the option to return to the candidate’s page in case you wish to change your vote.

After confirming your vote, you will have cast the ballot and will not be able to change it.

4. Step-by-Step Process: Guidance is available in the booklet below this page, along with a video detailing the steps of how to vote online. Please read the guidance booklet and watch the video carefully before proceeding with your vote.
5. Voting period: The voting period will be open from 16 May 2024 to noon on 11 June 2024. After this time, you won’t be able to access the platform. Please ensure that you cast your vote before the closing date.
6. Election Results: The election results will be promptly announced after the election ends. The new board member will be appointed by the Minister for Health.
