Professional appointments to CORUs Counsellors and Psychotherapists Registration Board
The Minister for Health invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced counsellors and psychotherapists for appointment to upcoming professional positions on the Counsellors & Psychotherapists Registration Board.
Candidates who are members of the counselling and psychotherapy professions due to be registered by CORU are invited to apply for upcoming vacant positions on the board in the categories highlighted below:
- Persons who are engaged in the practice of either of the designated professions
- Persons engaged, as members of either profession, in the management of services provided by either profession
- Persons engaged, as members of either profession, in the education and training of either profession
All candidates must demonstrate evidence of knowledge or experience of the Irish healthcare system as well as knowledge or experience of one or more of the following:
- Corporate governance
- Financial management
- Risk management
- Change management
- Strategy development
- Regulation knowledge/experience
- Evidence of an ability to work with others and build consensus with a broad range of stakeholders.
Previous experience of board membership is also considered desirable.
