Registration Board Notice of Election and Request for Nominations
As provided for in the Registration Board Elections byelaws, this is the official notice of the holding of elections on;
- The Optical Registration Board and request for nominations of candidates
- The Physiotherapists Registration Board and request for nominations of candidates
- The Occupational Therapists Registration Board and request for nominations of candidates
Vacancies arise in the following Electoral Categories:
Optical Registration Board
- Category 1A: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the practice of the profession (Optometry)
- Category 1B: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the practice of the profession (Dispensing Optician)
- Category 2: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the management of services provided by the profession of optometry
Eligible for registered Dispensing Opticians and Optometrists only, term of office to commence from July 2025
Physiotherapists Registration Board
- Category 1: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the practice of the profession
- Category 2: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the management of services provided by the profession
Eligible for registered Physiotherapists and Physical Therapists only, term of office to commence from July 2025
Occupational Therapists Registration Board
- Category 1: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the practice of the profession
- Category 2: One vacancy for a registrant who is engaged in the management of services provided by the profession
- Category 3: One vacancy for a registrant engaged in the education and training of persons in the practice of the profession
Eligible for registered Occupational Therapists only, term of office to commence from June and July 2025

Members appointed to the relevant Registration Board will hold office for a term of not more than 4 years as specified by the Minister at the time of appointment.

Nomination Papers must be returned to: Claire O’Cleary, Returning Officer, CORU, Infinity Building, George’s Court, George’s Lane, Smithfield, Dublin 7, D07 E98Y.
The closing date for receipt of nominations is 12 noon on Wednesday 24 April.
