Notice of Candidates validly nominated

Notice of election of members for appointment to the Social Workers Registration Board and request for nomination of candidates for two electoral categories was published in the Irish Times newspaper and on the website of www.coru.ie on Monday 08 June 2020.

The closing date for receipt of nominations was 12 noon on Wednesday 08 July 2020.

The following candidates have been deemed validly nominated in their respective categories below.

Candidates for Category 1: Registrants engaged in the practice of the profession

As the number of candidates (two) equals the number of vacancies (two), the candidates are deemed elected in electoral category 1. The names of these candidates will be submitted to the Minister for appointment to the Social Workers Registration Board as members engaged in the practice of the profession.

Candidate for Category 2: Registrant engaged in the management of services provided by the profession

As the number of candidates (one) equals the number of vacancies (one), the candidate is deemed elected in electoral category 2. The name of this candidate will be submitted to the Minister for appointment to the Social Workers Registration Board as a member engaged in management of services provided by the profession.
