Notice of candidates elected for each category
The notice of election of members for appointment to the Optical Registration Board and request for nominations of candidates for three electoral categories was published in the Irish Times newspaper and on www.coru.ie on 14 December 2018.
The closing date for receipt of ballots was 5pm on 26 February 2019. The counting of votes commenced at 10am on 27 February 2019.
Members have been deemed validly nominated and elected in two (2) electoral categories (Category 1B and Category 2).
Category 1B
The following candidate has been declared validly nominated and elected in Category 1B: Dispensing Optician registrant engaged in the practice as a Dispensing Optician.

In accordance with the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (as amended), the names of the above candidates will be forwarded to the Minister for Health for appointment to the Optical Registration Board.
