Appointments to CORU Registration Boards – June to September 2020

The Minister for Health made a number of appointments and reappointments to CORU Registration Boards between June and September.

Fearghal Grimes was reappointed to the Physiotherapists Registration Board as a representative of the management of a voluntary or private sector organisation concerned with health or social care. Ruth Maher was reappointed to the Board as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Ann Sheehan was reappointed to the Occupational Therapists Registration Board as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Yvonne Lennox and Patricia Sheridan were appointed to the Social Workers Registration Board as representatives practicing in the profession. Adrienne Mary Byrne was appointed to the Board as a representative engaged in the management of services provided by the profession.

A number of members were reappointed to the Psychologists Registration Board. Edel Moloney and Kieran Woods were both reappointed as representatives practicing in the profession. Niall Byrne was reappointed as a representative of the interest of the general public. Paul Longmore was reappointed as a representative of the management of a voluntary or private sector organisation concerned with health or social care.

Additionally, at the September meeting of the Social Workers Registration Board, Marie Kennedy was appointed Chairperson. Marie succeeded Perry Share upon expiry of his term as Chairperson.
