Appointments to Council and Registration Boards - September to December 2020

The Minister for Health made a number of appointments to Council and Registration Boards between September and December.

Health and Social Care Professionals Council

Mo Flynn was appointed as Chairperson of the Health and Social Care Professionals Council in December 2020.

Aisling Timoney and Maureen Carolan were both appointed to Council as representatives of the interest of the general public. Gabrielle Fitzpatrick was appointed as the representative of the Social Workers Registration Board. Rachel Mooney was appointed as the Counsellor representative and Patricia Jordan was appointed as the Psychotherapist representative of the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Registration Board.

Counsellors and Psychotherapists Registration Board

Caitriona Bradley was appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Dietitians Registration Board

Christopher O’Hara was appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Medical Scientists Registration Board

Marie Culliton was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the management of services provided by the profession. Carole Glynn was re-appointed as a representative of the management of the public health sector, the social care sector or both. Bernadette Jackson and Irene Regan were both re-appointed as representatives of the management of a voluntary or private sector organisation concerned with health or social care. Colm O’Leary was appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Occupational Therapists Registration Board

Niamh Doyle was appointed as a representative practising in the profession.

Psychologists Registration Board

Sinead Fitzgerald was re-appointed as a representative engaged in the management of services provided by the profession. Ian Boyle Harper was appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public.

Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board

Peadar Ward was appointed as representative of the management of a voluntary or private sector organisation concerned with health or social care.

Gerard Gray was appointed as a representative of the management of a voluntary or private sector organisation concerned with health or social care (appointment effective February 2021). Evelyn Cawley was appointed as a representative of the interest of the general public (appointment effective February 2021).
