What type of registrant am I?
Standard Route (Section 38 Applicants)
The Standard Route is the main route to registration for:
- new entrants to the profession in Ireland
- graduates
- people practising abroad
- people returning to the profession
To register through the Standard Route, you must:
- hold a CORU-approved Irish qualification, or an international qualification recognised by CORU;
- complete an online application through the CORU Application Portal;
- meet the Fit and Proper Person requirements; and
- meet the language requirements. This may include completing a language test.
If you qualified outside Ireland, we will assess whether your qualification and any relevant post-qualification work experience meet the standards of proficiency required for registration as part of your application.
