John F Scott

John F Scott has over 10 years senior management experience in the public health service and is currently serving as General Manager in the Health Service Executive’s (HSE) Clinical Strategy and Programmes Division, Corporate Office of the Nursing & Midwifery Services Director (ONMSD). In this position he manages an extensive budget and is responsible for the preparation of annual estimates and monitoring of expenditure of the Nursing and Midwifery Programmes. In addition, his role includes a wide range of duties and responsibilities ranging from strategic planning and evaluation, management of risk and application of governance to assure the delivery of organisational priorities and objectives.

Prior to joining the HSE as Senior Executive Officer in 2007, John worked as an accountant for 20 years in in a variety of companies in the private sector. His academic qualifications include an MSc in Strategic Management Accounting conferred by the National University of Ireland (NUI).
