Margaret Boland

Margaret Boland was formerly the General Manager/CEO of Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Hospital Group. Margaret currently works as a Nurse Advisor to the COVID-19 Service in the National Ambulance Service in NEOC Tallaght. Margaret is an honorary Senior lecturer in the RCSI and also contributes to the Higher Specialist Trainee Programme in the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland (RCPI).

Margaret is a dynamic, results oriented leader with a strong track record in transformational leadership and quality improvement within a highly challenging Healthcare environment. Margaret has a proven Clinical Management background with an ability to relate to, and influence all levels within complex organisations. Her roles involved translating policy through strategic and operational planning and delivering results within challenging budgetary parameters.

Margaret has significant experience of working with Executive Management Teams identifying and seizing development opportunities as well as delivering quality healthcare services. Margaret used a progressive approach to decision making and always believes in building positive, collaborative and effective working relationships as well as encouraging innovation and creativity at all levels.

Margaret qualified as a General Nurse in St John's Hospital in Limerick. She received a Bachelor of Nursing Studies from Dublin City University and was awarded an MSc in Creative Leadership and Organisational Learning from the RCSI Institute of Leadership.
