Patricia Jordan

Patricia Jordan is a practicing Counsellor and Psychotherapist, having qualified with a MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Institute of Ireland (NCPII) in 2010. Prior to that, she was a founding member of the National Co-ordinating team of Pobal for 15 years and was charged with supporting the development and implementation of social inclusion and equality related Government and EU programmes.

In that capacity Patricia was tasked with facilitating the formation of local Area Partnership Companies, which was then an experimental model of tri-partite governance between state agencies, social partners and local communities in areas of extreme disadvantage. Her work involved mentoring and advising voluntary Boards of management through intensive capacity building, conflict management, systems development and review. She contributed to programme operational development and was instrumental in progressing the framework for future social enterprise programmes.

Patricia holds qualifications in cognitive behavioural therapy, facilitation skills and personnel management. She is also a qualified teacher and trainer. She currently operates a busy practice that includes a high degree of community work including work with a women’s refuge and assisting those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
