Professionally Qualified Social Worker, worked in the profession for 37 years in a variety of positions, mainly within the HSE/TUSLA. Experience involved intercountry adoption assessments, fostering assessments, child protection and welfare assessments and care planning, children in care and aftercare care planning, oversight and implementation, managed child care training programme across the Midlands to include multidisciplinary and interagency training on child protection and domestic violence. Lead out on the Child Abuse Prevention Programme across the Midlands with a teacher colleague. Lead out on the implementation of the Children First Act 2015 to include training for Mandated Persons under this legislation. In recent years managed the Midlands Adult Mental Health Social Work Service from January 2019 to April 2025. Recently retired.
