Anita O'Donovan
Dr Anita O'Donovan holds rare experience in academia and clinical practice in Radiation Therapy, Trinity College Dublin. She joined as Assistant Professor in 2011 and obtained her PhD in 2020. Prior to joining TCD, she worked as a Radiation Therapist for 9 years in St. Luke's Radiation Oncology Network Dublin and Cork University Hospital, in clinical and research positions. She is a previous member of Council of the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy and a National Radiation Therapy reviewer on the Radiography Qualifications Review Board
She has accrued extensive experience, through her academic position in the development, delivery and assessment of training programmes relevant to radiation therapists and other healthcare professions. She is also an active research educator and researcher. Dr O’Donovan has extensive experience serving on accreditation boards and is an Accreditation Council of Europe (ACOE) Councillor, recognised for her experience in education and expertise in radiation oncology.
Dr O’Donovan is nominated by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
